SRV HR: Q2 Meetup
At ScaleSmart, we believe in the power of continuous learning. This week, we gathered in Indianapolis with the SRV HR team to sharpen our skills and stay ahead of the curve. From navigating change management and refining our business development tools, to diving into innovative HR solutions and the latest in compensation trends and legal updates — we invested time in building both knowledge and connection with other HR advisors.
Why? Because the HR landscape is constantly evolving, and we’re committed to evolving with it — so we can deliver the best, most up-to-date guidance to the businesses we support.
One topic that resonated with me most was related to decision making within companies. We discussed different roles in an organization and where decision making should lie, utilizing the Eisenhower Matrix. Most companies don’t have clearly defined decision-making criteria in place which can result in founders and CEOs involved in decision making and approvals for way too many tasks, without empowering the rest of the organization to make decisions for less urgent items with lower stakes. Much of this can be avoided by utilizing job success profiles and clear KPIs for all levels of employees, as well as a possible re-vamp of incentive programs. Thanks to Josh Hauser for the insightful and energizing session!
Empowered teams empower others — and that’s what ScaleSmart and our partnership with Mike Lantz and the SRV HR community is all about!
